Questions
How payment, ID, data and device checks work.
How do I get paid?
In cash, the same day, when staff have checked your device and scanned your code.
How long is my offer good for?
Your offer is good until closing time on the second day after you get your cash code, at the location you picked. The exact time is on your code and in the email.
What do I need to bring?
Your device, charged; a valid government photo ID; and your cash code on your phone or printed. You must be 18 or older.
Why do you need my ID?
The law requires us to record who sold each device. We store your ID number encrypted, and only Kivu Mobile can read it.
What happens to my data?
Back up your device, then erase it and sign out of iCloud or Google before you come in. We erase every device again after we buy it.
Do you buy lost or stolen devices?
No. Staff check every device before paying, and we record its IMEI or serial number with the seller's ID. Devices reported lost or stolen are refused.
What if my device is in a different condition?
Choose Something else. You still get a code, and the shop gives you a price in person.
What if the device doesn't match what I selected?
Staff can offer a lower amount and will tell you why. You can accept it, or keep your device.
My device isn't on your list. Can you make an offer?
Yes. Send us the model, storage and condition through the contact form, and we'll reply by email with an offer.
